All renewals submitted through the Disky App WhatsApp channel, with the exception of vehicles registered in Gauteng, will require a clear image of the registered owner's proof of residence not older than 2 months from the date of issue.
Please take note of the requirements for a valid proof of residence:
🚨 If the below instruction is not followed the renewal application will be delayed 🚨
- To successfully verify your residency, the provided proof of address must correspond to the same region as the vehicle's registration. For instance, if your vehicle's license plate starts with "MP", the proof of address should be from Mpumalanga. Similarly, if the license plate begins with "NU", the proof of residency needs to match the location specified on the plate, such as Pinetown, Kloof, or Hillcrest.
- MUST be a RESIDENTIAL address (NOT a PO Box address)
- MUST not be older than 2 months
- MUST be in the name of the registered owner
- IMPORTANT: The MVL1 document issued by the Transport Department on registration/renewal of the vehicle is not accepted by the authorities.
- IMPORTANT: Please note that only a full image of the document will be accepted and any attempts to submit snippets or edited versions will not be accepted by the licencing authorities.
-
❌ DO NOT upload a screenshot of the proof of residence as it can significantly degrade the quality of the document and make it unreadable, resulting in rejection by the licensing authorities. It is important to upload the original document for a successful renewal process.
- The proof of residence MUST be a STATEMENT, no Tax invoices or invoices will be accepted.
- MUST be clear and readable with the date clearly visible examples of valid POA: Utility bills, Bank Statements, Telephone or Cellular statements or Account statements.
💡 In the event that the vehicle is registered under a company name, please refer to the following article for further information -> 🏢 What if the car is registered in the name of the business (business vehicle)?
